该课程为小班教学，用时4天，将学习手工皂的理论基础知识及多种基础样式的制作方法，共计9款皂，可以带近100块皂回家！

课程学完后，通过举一反三，学生也可独立设计手工皂图案并完成制作。

This is a small-group, intensive 4-day cold process soapmaking course.
You will learn the full theoretical foundation of soapmaking and create 9 different styles of soap — bringing home up to 100 bars (approximately 10 kg) of finished products!

By the end of the course, students will be able to design their own soap formulas and independently create their own artistic soap patterns through the techniques learned in class.

Day 1

理论学习：Theories

 

  • 皂化理论、基础油脂介绍、手工皂配方计算及设计、操作安全知识等
  • 实操：2个款式

Saponification theory, Introduction to base oils, Formula calculation and design, Safety procedures

2 designs will be made in total

Day 2&3

  • 实操：共计完成6个款式
  • Hands-on Practice: 6 designs in total

Day 4

  • 实操：毕业款式1个

  • Two-layer Lemon Slice Soap
  • Solid-colour Mountain Soap (house-cleaning soap formula)

  • Marble Wood-Grain Soap (Marseille soap formula)
  • Scraper Soap (choose from cat, Shiba Inu, or bear designs, etc)
  • Dessert Soap (whipped cream piping + M&P embeds)
  • Ocean Wave Soap (wave technique + seashell colouring)
  • Vintage Sea-Salt Soap
  • Graduation Design — create your own using the techniques learned

⏰学习时长 Class Duration:

4个整天，10am-5pm，中间休息1.5小时

Four full days
10:00 AM – 5:00 PM (1.5-hour lunch break)

 

🛑注意事项：

  • 因涉及到危险材料的使用，该课程仅限14岁以上的学员参加
  • 冷皂制作好后需要1-2天才能脱模，故课程结束当日无法全部带走。未带走的皂可在课程结束后一个月内来工作室自取（逾期未取将自行处理），或帮助邮寄，邮费自理

Important Notes

  • Due to the use of caustic materials, this course is limited to students aged 14+.

  • Cold process soap requires 1–2 days before unmolding. Not all soaps can be taken home on the last day.
    Uncollected soaps may be picked up within one month after class (unclaimed items will be disposed of).
    Shipping is available; postage paid by student.

Important to know before booking

Important to know before booking

  • Reservations: To secure your booking, full payment is required in advance.We cannot hold reservations verbally.

  • Pricing is for ONE PERSON ONLY. If you’d like to join with a friend or partner, please ensure each person has their own booking.

  • Age Limitation: Minimum age is 10 years unless otherwise noted. Workshop materials are for individual use only, cannot be shared by multiple people, and the price is listed per person.

  • Studio Access: Open to registered participants only. The studio opens 15 minutes before each workshop begins.

  • Food/Drink: We kindly ask that no food is consumed during workshops;  water and light beverages are welcome (we also provide water, tea and coffee on site).

  • Punctuality: We kindly ask that you arrive on time (ideally about 5 minutes early) so we can start promptly and ensure the best experience for everyone. Late arrivals may shorten your class time and affect other guests. Arriving more than 45 minutes late will be considered a no-show and cannot be accomodated.

  • Candle / Soap workshops: minimum 4 participant
  • Perfume Making: minimum 3 participants

Rescheduling Policy

For Workshops:

  • Workshops can be rescheduled via the link in your confirmation email up to 72 hours prior to the scheduled start time.  If the option is no longer available, it means the rescheduling window has expired.
  • For groups of 4 or more, we kindly ask for a 5-day notice.
  • Rescheduling requests received after the 72-hour notice period are unfortunately no longer able to be accommodated.
  • Your spot is fully transferrable. 

For master classes (4 day class)

7 days before the course starts, you can reschedule for once, and rescheduling will not be allowed within [0-6 days].

 

Cancellation Policy

We DO NOT issue refunds. 

  • If you need to cancel your booking at least 72 hours before your session, we’re happy to offer a store credit for future use.
    Simply email us at info@daydreamlab.ca

  • Unfortunately, cancellations made within 72 hours of your workshop are not eligible for rescheduling or store credit.

  • If a session is under-booked, it may be cancelled. In this case, we will notify you at least 2 days in advance and offer the option to either reschedule to another confirmed session or receive a full refund.

  • In case of unexpected circumstances such as extreme weather, Daydream Lab will notify guests to cancel the course at least 3 hours before the start of the course and will reschedule the course at an agreed time.

Located about 300 meters from Ikea Richmond, with the studio entrance on the side road, 2nd floor above Cowa Café.

Parking: Plenty of FREE STREET PARKING: You can park along the main or side roads near the studio (plz avoid fire hydrants), or in the exclusive parking spot (2 spots) next to the entrance. Please avoid parking in spaces marked 100/105 as they belong to other businesses.
